Saving Supertato!

Image
Our book this week is Supertato by Sue Hendra and Paul Linnet. Robins 1 were very excited to find Supertato and the Evil peas frozen in our classroom. The children worked hard all morning to try and save Supertato from the ice. Some children then went on to play ‘teachers’ in provision and read the story to their friends in the home corner. The WOW words we have been learning this week are gasped and vanished .  Ask you child what these words mean.

Magical Maths Potions

Robins 1 loved creating potions today using water beads. The children worked together to fill up the cauldrons and counted different amounts by placing the water beads inside the pieces of numicon.  Well done Reception!👏

Stickman Fun in Robins 1

Image
Reception have loved reading Stickman by Julia Donaldson this week. We have been writing ‘Missing Stickman’ posters with support from an adult, painting our own Stickman family and creating Stickman using natural materials.  Our Phonics focus sound this week has been ‘S’.  Can you ask your child if they can write this sound for you at home?
