Excellent English work

Robin class have worked hard learning about woodland creatures using non-fiction texts and the internet. We created hedgehogs using craft resources and followed the instructions for each step. Look at our fabulous new reading forest and come in and see our bear hunt writing work.

This week the children have amazed us with their leaning. They have been writing about the Bear Hunt story, investigating the number eight, colour mixing, talking about the seasons and much more. Look at some of the photos below.

Busy Bees!

We’ve had a busy week in Robin Class! Our number of the week is 8 and the children have loved matching numerals to quantities, finding 1 more and 1 less and beginning with addition and subtraction. In Phonics, we’ve moved onto Phase 3 In Letters and Sounds and have learnt the sounds ‘j’ and ‘v’ this week. Encourage your children to write labels or captions for their beautiful pictures or their creations. In provision, the children are showing their imagination by creating dinosaur houses, lunchboxes, role playing as princesses, shop keepers and much more! Have a look at our learning below:
