Robins 1 - Visit to the Coop

Image
The children in Robins 1 were able to walk to our local shop this week.  The children spoke about road safety before setting off and were able to remember to stop and look for cars before crossing each road.  When we arrived at the shop we read our special shopping list and counted the items we needed to buy to make our Gingerbread Men.  Once inside the shop, the children navigated the aisles sensibly and spoke to one another about what they were looking for. The children knew we had to find the till to pay and were able to count out the exact amount of coins to pay for our shopping. When we returned to school, all the children were able to make a Gingerbread Man. The children even got to decorate them with some yummy sweets and icing.

Look at our fabulous outdoor learning! We used chalks to help us retell the story of The Gingerbread Man.  It was so much fun to take our learning outdoors and now we can share our story with everyone in school too!

PSED and Positive Self Talk

Image
We wrote down things that we like about ourselves that people might not always see. We folded them up and then we talked about how we should be proud of the things we're good at and let them shine through. We placed our folded people in the water and watched as they revealed our positive self talk. You could try this at home!
