Art week During Art week the children have focused on self-portraits.  The children first created their own 2D shape faces by cutting out a range of shapes to create their own face. This enabled them to consider which shape was best for each of their features. This led the children to then sketch their own faces using pencils and pastels.

 Pirates in Reception! This week the children have been exploring the story Pirates at the Supermarket. They have enjoyed designing and creating their own pirate hats, using a range of materials.   Also the children have shown a real interest in Harry potter. They have been taking on the roles on Harry, Ron and Hermione. The children created their own wands and spell books. 

Exploring the woods Reception loved exploring the woods this morning and looking at how it has changed since our last visit.     The children separated into groups and took part in different activities  such as, making a natural portrait, finding hidden messages on gold coins and a colour hunt.  .
