Reception Iveson Blog

 In Reception, we felt the love on Valentine’s Day! We made lots of Valentine’s crafts including cards, collages, pictures and letters for our loved ones.  The children loved discussing who is special to them, why they love them and pretending to create their own play-dough chocolates! ❤️  

 We had a fantastic walk up to Clayton Woods from school. The children took part in a range of seasonal activities including nature hunts, making animal habitats, making nature portraits and bark rubbing.  The children absolutely thrived and loved exploring what Clayton Woods had to offer. We can wait to return in Summer to see more seasonal changes! 

 In Reception, we have been learning all about the Lunar New Year. During child led learning we have completed lots of engaging activities linking to the lunar new year and we have been learning all about the year of the snake. 🐍🏮

 In Maths, the children have been learning all about the Number 8. The children have been exploring all the compositions of eight using numicon.  Well done Reception!
