Reception Iveson Blog

 Reception had the opportunity to place a bird house on our school grounds this week.  We spoke about what the bird house was made of and why the bird's might like to go inside. The children spoke about where we should place the house and why.  The children got a chance to place bird seeds inside the house.

 Next week..... Our Book of the week will be: The 3 Billy Goats Gruff.   Receptions Hedgehog house! This week the children put our new hedgehog house in the secret garden. The children loved exploring our outdoor space to collect leaves to place on top of the house.  Liam said, "it will keep the hedgehog warm!" Remembrance day! Reception had a minutes silence today for 1 minute to remember all the soldiers from the war.  The children also created their ow poppies in Key Worker time.  

  Book of the week is.....  Outdoor Learning Day! Reception have really enjoyed playing and exploring outside today! The children loved having their Phonics lesson outside. We played race to write the sound!  Also, the children have been exploring how to make drains with the guttering and new water area toys.  The children have been learning about Diwali. During Key Worker time the children got the melt chocolate using tea lights. Then the children dipped their bread stick in the chocolate, to eat!

  Reception have loved dressing up for spooky day today! We even got chance to complete a Science experiment and watched the pumpkin 'explode'. 👻👻👻👻👻
