Beautiful mark making by Max!

Have a look at Max's fantastic mark making with Mrs Dyson! Is it any wonder that the Nursery Children nominated him for 'Most Improved' in our Pride of Iveson awards?

Sports Day!

Image
On monday we had our early years sports day! We split into four teams and took part in team races of different types.  We placed coits on our heads and tried to go faster than the other teams!  A big thank you to all our parents who came and supported the children! We loved having you with us. For nursery children who do not attend on mondays, we will be doing another sports day for nursery only on Thursday afternoon. Please bring your child in sports gear, with a sunhat and suncream! Sadly parents won't be allowed to come to this second sports day, but we will take lots of pictures and videos for the blog. Learning about our teeth!

We took a trip down to the hall to find out about keeping our teeth healthy. Look at the beautiful patient sitting! We found out lots about sugar attacks, and about making sure that we avoid fizzy drinks!

Nursery's fantastic mark making (And other bits and bobs)

We have been playing with the parachute this week, and Nursery have really enjoyed it! We have passed a ball around, working together to keep it moving; and have played Shark Attack. Look at all those smiling faces!  Finley did some fantastic roleplay in the dinosaur world!  Soran worked hard to build a sandcastle!  Aziz painted a gorgeous flower!  Francesca held her pen beautifully and created an amazing picture!  Lamis solved the puzzle!  Eman followed the lines on the page to create letter sounds!  We went outside to practice our gross motor skills! We took the chalk and got going!  Doesnt our playground look much better with all our drawings on it!  These towers definitely get a thumbs up from me, too! Reports have gone out today so your child will receive theirs when they attend. Thats all from us, Mr Cockburn, Mr...

This week we spent our transition day in year one! We met our new teachers, Miss Grimshaw and Miss Lennon; and had a fab day. For parents who wish to see the kinds of things your child will be learning next year, visit  the year one blog . The current Reception class will migrate to this blog in September.
