This week in Robin Class




This week continue to focus on the story The Gingerbread Man. The children can now retell the story using actions, ask them to retell it at home! We will be using our measuring skills on Thursday as we bake our own Gingerbread Men.

We will focus on the Number 14 in Maths. The children will investigate the number and solve problems including doubling, halving and sharing.
In phonics we will continue to read words and nonsense (alien words). Click here for some phonics games to play at home. We will also learn the tricky (common-exception) words: have, like some, come.

Reminder: Thursday 23rd May is Polling Day - Reception children to arrive and be picked up from breakfast club doors.

 Reception have had a brilliant start to the school year. Music - Follow the Rhythm

  This week, Reception had the experience of learning to play boom whackers with Music teacher Chris. Chris asked the children to begin by following rhythms by clapping. Chris then gave the children a boom whacker instrument. The children copied the rhythms and sang familiar songs.  ♫♬🎜🎝

EYFS Teddy Bears Picnic

 EYFS Teddy Bears Picnic   Reception had a lovely afternoon at their teddy bear's picnic. The children made their own sandwiches in the morning and brought their teddy along to enjoy the sandwiches, smoothies and snacks.
