Snail Scrolls

Can you follow the recipe to bake your own Snail Scrolls!
 

Ingredients 

  • 2 sheets puff pastry
  • 6 tablepoons Marmite
  • 1 Pepper/Carrot/Celery cut into match sticks (for the antenna)

Method

 1Preheat oven to 180°C or 160° fan-forced. Line a baking tray with baking paper and set aside.
 2Spread each sheet of pastry with 3 tbsp of Marmite evenly over each sheet.
 3Roll each sheet tightly into a scroll and slice the scroll evenly into 12 pieces. Be sure to leave the last couple of cms unrolled to create the head of the snail.
4Lie on the tray and bake for 10-15 minutes.
5Remove pastry snails from the baking sheet and pierce two holes into the top of the snail's head for the antenna.

You could use pesto, or cheese in the place of Marmite. If you prefer your snails sweet then try sugar and cinammon or even chocolate spread!
