Thursday Reading
Today for your reading task, could you listen to this version of Little Red Riding Hood?
Which character was growling?
Who brought a basket of food to Grandma’s house?
Writing challenge today:
Can you draw a picture of Grandma?
Can you write a caption for your picture?
Remember in Reception we encourage the children to sound (segment) out each word phonetically. So it is perfectly acceptable for your child to write something like this:
Granmar is siting in bed 🖉
Gran has got her prity hat on 🖉
Miss Wilde and Miss McGill haven’t yet taught all the Phonics sounds, which means captions like the above are all perfectly age appropriate.
