British Science Week

 Reception have had lots of fun for British Science Week. 

We have been reading the story The Smeds and the Smoos by Julia Donaldson.

We needed to blast a rocket up into space for the aliens to get back home.👽

The children predicted how high the "rocket fire" would fly. 🚀

We also completed a germ experiment. 

The children had good understanding of germs and why we must always wash our hands before eating and after being outside. 

The children enjoyed watching the Cbeebies germ experiment video and then we tried it for ourselves.

We have also been learning about minibeasts this week. 🐞🐛

The children went on a minibeast hunt around the school grounds and worked together in pairs to see what they could find.
