  Miss McGill is so proud of everyone in Robins 1, all the children have worked so hard this year. It has been challenging at times, due to more lock-downs and disruptions to learning. However, the resilience shown by the children and the progress they have made is astonishing and I am so very proud. Well done Robins 1 and good luck in Year 1!  Here are some pictures from our class graduation this week.🎉

 Robins 1 enjoyed their Sports Day today with Mr Rasul.  All the children took part and were cheering on their friends. Well done Robins 1! 😀

 Robins 1 enjoyed playing the sunshine this morning and ate a delicious ice lolly in the shade. 🍦🌞🌻

  As we are approaching the end of the year, I would like you to think about starting Year 1 in September. For your Writing task today, I would like you to design an "All About Me" poster for your new teacher.  What would you like them to know about you? What do you like doing? Who do you like to play with? You could draw a picture of you and write some sentences all about you. 

  For your Phonics task today, I would like you to choose one of the activities below and have a go at them at home. 😀 Using a paint brush and some water, can you go outside in your garden and paint some tricky words onto the floor or walls? Can you write the, into, no, go, to, and, he, she? Can you get some post-it notes or paper and build some words with your grown-up? Can you spot the digraphs in the words? Can you add sound buttons to the words? Can you use lego or duplo to build a tricky word tower? How many tricky words can you read? Can you play the phonics stairs game? Can you write some words or sounds on paper and place them on the stairs? Can you walk up the stairs and read each one? How many words are on the stairs?

 For your Maths task today, can you practise your number formation? Can you create a number line to 30? Can you tell your grown up 1 more and 1 less than a number? "1 more than 18 is ..." "1 less than 27 is ..." Challenge - Can you fill in the missing numbers on the number tracks?

  We loved sports day today! We did Obstacle Courses, Javelin, Egg and Spoon, Running, Hurdles, Dribbling, Relays and more!
