Our learning this week..
In Reception this week, we will be continuing to learn all about the number 2.
We will be finding pairs of objects, finding 1 more and 1 less, finding half of 2, finding double 2 and forming the numeral 2 in different ways throughout provision time.
You can help your child at home by finding 2 in your environment.
Can you find 2 on a clock? Can you find 2 on a car registration plate? Can you find 2 objects? Can you show double 2? Can you help matching pairs of socks with your adult?
In Reception this week, we will be continuing our Phase 2 Phonics learning. We have already learnt the sounds 's' and 'a'.
This week we will be learning the 't' and 'p' sounds.

In Reception this week, we will be focusing on the book Owl Babies by Martin Waddell and Patrick Benson. The children will be retelling the story using props and Talk for Writing actions. We will be talking about habitats and what Owls eat.
The children will be exploring our Wow Words from the book 'brave', 'trunk', 'branch' and 'soft'. The children will be using these words every day in provision and challenged to use them in a sentence.
